Plans

Well it's been a while since I've posted but essentially once I'd posted Simon's picture, it was quite a long time before I felt I could look at him again without bawling my eyes out. Simon was a great little hamster and I still miss him, but I have come to terms with the fact that he is not suffering anymore and that I did my best by him.

Other news: G-comm finally realised that having laid off a good percentage of their teachers, they had better stop doing it otherwise they would send the business as far down the tubes as NOVA had. To this effect I finally signed a contract a couple of weeks ago, and assuming that immigration don't throw me out of the country, I should be able to get my new visa in another couple of weeks. I actually got to immigration, requested my new visa, did the paperwork and got out of there a record 10 minutes after they opened... there are some benefits to getting somewhere at the crack of dawn, I suppose!
So my current plans now are - Use up my epic paid vacation which I got given back even though G-comm said we wouldn't (they are good for something) and go to Hanoi and Ankhor Wat and Singapore. Then resign at the end of July to quit work at the end of August, go and stay with my friend in Nara until the following payday which will be the 15th of September, while I am there I may also go down to Kyushu and see the volcano, and I want to go to Hiroshima and then around the 15th or so I shall fly home from Osaka. Of course I haven't actually planned any of this - it's just in my head. With my track record I shall probably be sat here typing exactly the same thing in another year...! We'll see...
